"Rappers who talk about violence and the streets are just reflecting the violent American culture that we live in."
I agree because everyday people are killed all over America. Sometimes people are killed in the
rich neighborhoods and the poor neighborhoods. Violence has been around for a long time, but it is much more common these days.
The rap/hip-hop music supports killing behavior. This music may talk about struggles that we
all share, but then the song goes into the "bad stuff". The songs make killing popular or the
answer to all of our problems.
I agree with the following quote: "I jokingly say I'm in recovery from hip hop. It's like being in a domestic situation. your home is hip hop and Toni Blackman rapper poet actress.

media-commercial
What did you learn about the super commercials.
When the superbowl commercials they be showing movies.
They be showing the beer commercials .
I learn beer is not good for your cells.
They show potatoe heads driving a car very fast they a most hit the sweep in the potatoe head mouth fell off.
They also show gatorade commercial.

media
The four advertising concept are messages, creative, language, different, and people.
I learn how to do creative things like pictures.
I learn to send a messages to other people to send a messages back to me.
I learn to communicate with others and listen to their question when they ask the teacher for sometimes Iask a students to help me on my work.
I like some of the new things we do in class. I like the fun works sheets we do we in class and I like the work we do in the computer lab.
Concept #1 - All media mesages are constructed (have a story). For instance, the Geico cave
man is always used to portray a dummy. The ads run the cave into different situations that
make him look like a "dummy", in the end the ad says, even a "cave" can choose the right
insurance.
Concept #2 - Media messages us a creative language with its own rules. Toy R Us uses the
backwards "R" in their sign and logo. They spell their way even though is it not proper
English.
Concept #3 - Different people experience the same media message differently. An oatmeal
ad may be "gross" to some people or be seen as "healthy" to others.
Concept #4 - Media have embedded values and points of view. NFL football says that they
are the best football in all of the world. (there is football in Canada and Europe).
Concept #5 - Most media messages are organized to gain profit and/or power.
Fitness ads tell you that if you work out and get buff you will be powerful in your world
and the world of others.

Movie comparisons/Body Image-Violent Masculinity
In comparing the two movies shown in class, the body image and violent masculinity,
these movies explain how society has accepted images of people that are not realistic and behavior of people that is a "front", a "mask" that males are taught to wear.
The man having sexy when they are driving when they get in the acidents they pass when sexy when they are driving.
When kids see things on tv and try it they killed some people they injured some people.
When see they see stuff or guns if they see it they will buy it.
mans tried to killed their family and girlfriend and their sons.
We had watch to video and it was about vidence, killing, and rape by men.

Women in the movie were not true to themselves. The use of photoshop and
other computer programs change the true image of the female. The woman on
the cover of the magazine may not be a true human being. She is only "parts" of a
woman made into one.
